Story Movie

The year is 2054. A special pre-crime department has been in existence for six years. Based on psychic technology, an experimental program has been developed that allows the department to learn about a murder that has not yet been committed and to arrest a suspect before he commits the crime. This system of convicting criminals and preventing crime is becoming more and more common. This system works perfectly, but the worst part is when you find yourself accused of a murder that has not yet been committed. One day the head of the pre-crime unit, John Anderton, finds himself a suspected criminal himself. He is accused of committing the murder of a man he doesn't even know yet. John doesn't believe it, but now he is forced to go into hiding from his colleagues himself. The only way for him to prove his innocence is to show that the new program makes mistakes and is by no means as perfect as many would like it to be...

Review 4K Movie

The novels of writer Philip K. Dick have been adapted for the screen in Hollywood on numerous occasions. It is this author we can thank for the release of such films as Blade Runner and Total Recall. In 2002, director and producer Steven Spielberg took notice of his work and ended up making the excellent sci-fi action film Total Recall, which remains relevant even 20 years after its release.

The plot takes place in the distant future, when humanity has made an incredible technological leap and a system for predicting murders has been created. It works with the help of three seers who are immersed in sleep. When a particularly serious crime is predicted somewhere in the United States, a special team led by operative John Anderton examines the seers' visions on a special monitor, after which the team sets out to prevent the murder.

It would seem that this system works flawlessly, and yet it so happens that John Anderton himself is accused of a future crime and now he has to prove his innocence. It's hard to believe that a man from the system, who knows perfectly well how everything works, would break the law, and yet no one is going to investigate — Anderton could be arrested and sent to prison without much investigation. So now John needs to escape and figure out who is behind what is happening to him.

In Steven Spielberg's film, I want to first note the very cold, piercing atmosphere. This is quite rare in the director's work, as he mainly makes science fiction films aimed at a family audience. But here, Spielberg has created a tough, spectacular, and uncompromising action film about a man on the run who must constantly flee from his colleagues, with whom he worked until recently.

Tom Cruise plays John Anderton, and this is the first time the actor and director have worked together. Cruise really loves playing in cool action movies, so it's no surprise that he did everything he could to get Spielberg to pick him for the role. Cruise plays on testosterone; he cannot stand still for long because for him, stopping means going to prison and possibly dying. So he is always on the move, has to think quickly, and simply has no time to stop.

Minority Report is an example of an excellent science fiction action film that is sure to delight viewers because Steven Spielberg has created a brilliant genre work with no weak points.
