Shazam will have to test the limits of his abilities, having done this with the inherent joyful recklessness inherent in the child. But Billy has very little time to fully master magical skills, because he urgently needs to overcome the deadly evil forces controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong).

It’s impossible not to sympathize with the theoretical fan of the DC universe - a movie about favorite characters from film to film shakes like a squirrel on caffeine. The quality jumps, the tone changes, the actors run as if from a sinking ship, announce films that are not even part of the universe ...

And then “Shazam” happens. And here it becomes quite difficult. Putting on one line the pompously serious “Batman Vs Superman” and the hilarious skit from “Shazam” is at least not convenient. But we have what we have. And while everyone is waiting for a happy moment when the universe will find its face, let's just take a closer look at Shazam and try to figure out if it is a good movie.

Without unnecessary preludes - yes, good. “Shazam” is, first of all, an excellent comedy, and secondly, a good children's film for all the family to watch. This time we are told not a gloomy epic about saving the world, but a simple story about growing up and family values. I would like to compare Shazam not with previous DC films, but with the film Bolshoi with Tom Hanks (if you haven’t watched, I highly recommend it).

Indeed, humor, built around situations where the main character, being in the body of a sexually mature inflated athlete, still continues to behave like a child, cannot but make laugh. There are a lot of jokes in the tape, they are different, but all are good. “Shazam” seems to be standing on the other side of “Deadpool”: a comedic superheroic that you can and even need to watch including kids. Yes, and what a sin to conceal, a couple of stupid, but funny gags about a pipinka make any young man laugh.

The main plot against the background of a stream of humor is simply unimportant. Strictly speaking, there is a textured villain performed by Mark Strong, which no-no, and steals a couple of memorable scenes, but in a global sense, he is purely utilitarian for the picture. The conflict serves only as a catalyst for creating more vivid and fun scenes, after which the young viewer may also get food for thought. In this regard, Shazam is even too trivial. We all know from the very beginning how it will end: targeting a young audience plays a cruel joke with the film.

But I do not want to scold the tape for this. “Shazam” turned out to be a good light film that goes well with a cup of tea and a blanket. He is not ashamed to go to the movies, especially in the company.
