These days we often hear about environmental problems and dangers that can have serious consequences. But many of us think it's all exaggerated, and don't even think about what might be. Alice's father, for example, does not think at all about the consequences for nature when he decides to build a nuclear power plant in their town. He argues that the use of outdated technology and cooperation with a cheap Chinese company is a more rational allocation of resources when they are in short supply. All in all, nothing new (given the trends of our time). He is not the first, nor will he be the last to do such things and implement such projects. Everything would be okay if one evening out of nowhere strange people appeared in their house and started some kind of firefight. And a little later our heroes came face to face with time travelers, whose task is to prevent the construction of a dangerous nuclear facility...Or maybe it's just sabotage by some crazy people?

I got into this movie by accident. Let me explain: I absolutely do not like science fiction movies. All these "Interstellar", "Inception", "Gravity" - not for me. It's all too complicated. But how glad I was that I ended up watching Alien from the Future. After all, I ended up watching not just a humdrum science-pop with hackneyed ideas, but I watched an extraordinary and multi-layered movie! The fact is that despite its deep meaning and the usually difficult for me concept of all these time continuums, the plot is revealed in a very simple and understandable way. First of all, of course, this is achieved thanks to the high-class acting, which managed to understandably for the viewer, through their characters, to convey the message conceived by the authors. And the witty and subtle humor used in the movie is a cool feature of almost all French comedies. Exactly because the very first scene in the movie unfolds funny events and the actors play the situations very funny, I realized that the movie is for me. And there's no complicated plot twists or theories, everything is very simple, but not stupid or "wooden", the makers just don't go into all that stuff, they concentrate more on showing the main problem - the careless attitude towards ecology. It turned out very interesting and extremely funny!

Back to the acting. Enia Baru played more of a dramatic, deep role. Her character, Alice, was the character that gave the movie its seriousness. Her story with her dead mother, her anxieties about her father's activities... In general, her character is more thought-provoking than funny. But Florent Dorin is the complete opposite of her. He just played the kind of character you couldn't look at without laughing. Though his ideas are also very deep and wholesome. In some places he is even deeper than Alice herself. That is why the coolest aspect of the movie is that very often strong ideas and feelings are hidden behind contrived and ostentatious irony. I also want to note some pretty cool special effects. Frankly speaking I never expected this movie to be especially good at this part (it is not Hollywood after all), but even here it surprised me.

As a result "Alien from the Future" turns out to be an extremely cheerful, funny and topical sketch on contemporary issues. You don't want to look for any plot inconsistencies or script holes - you just enjoy watching it and laughing at the jokes. What else do you want from a comedy, especially a sci-fi one? The film has a very similar atmosphere to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but with a specific French charm. I sincerely advise you to appreciate it.
