I'll start with some amazing special effects for that time. The incredible flights of Spider-Man around the city seemed stunning - at times it even seemed that the impossible was possible, it seemed that Peter Parker had left the pages of the comics, the actor was so well chosen (I can't imagine how DiCaprio would pull on the Spider's tights). The picture also conveys the spirit of the Spidey comics well.

Unsurprisingly, the painting has amassed such an impressive box office. And I want to note that it was with Spidey that this comic epic began (meaning that not a single year is now complete without the release of a film about a superhero). Why did it start? And because if Spider-Man were not so great, he would hardly have collected so much money, and if he had not collected this money, we would hardly be able to contemplate the continuation of this stunning film.

Going back to the cast ... I can't imagine other performers in these roles. I'll start with the main character, aka Peter Parker and Spider-Man. I do not understand those who say that Toby is not suitable for this role, he does not look there. The only drawback is Toby's too small stature (the Spider should be taller). I would also like to note that this is an entertaining movie, and not some kind of suspense of Hitchcock, where you have to think about every little thing. And when you come to such a film, you need to relax. Therefore, the actors do not have to be particularly dramatic.

Norman Osborn is the best villain I've ever seen. Willem Dafoe conveyed the duplicity of his character so well that you can immediately give an Oscar (example Jack Nicholson). And remember his hellish grimace at the mirror - no one else would definitely fit. Definitely.

I can't say anything special about Mary Jane. From my point of view, any pretty actress aged 23 - 26 would be suitable for this role.

Harry Osborn. Well, this is, frankly, an ambiguous figure. He is good, then bad. Perhaps Sam Raimi was trying to convey his father's fortune through Harry, I don't know, but quite possible. As for the actor himself, only he could fit the role of Defoe's son. Their similarity is simply impossible not to notice. And all thanks to the casting directors who chose that very worthless Maguire.

Jameson is, in general, a copy of a comic book hero. Aunt May and Uncle Ben, of course, are good, but in this case it was possible to take the actors and younger. I liked Bruce Campbell and brother Raimi, first of all, for their humorous roles, small but humorous.

As for the plot, it is simply incomparable. It could not have been better done. Everything fits, after all by the way. It's a well-thought-out moment that the Spider's web shoots by itself (not like in a cartoon, where Parker had to change some idiotic cartridges). I also liked the fact that Spider learned to use superpower in pursuit of his uncle's killer - very symbolic. Oddly enough, I really liked Spidey's costume, before the film I wondered for a long time how it would be made, and it turned out just amazing. Although for me it still remains a mystery how you can see through those glass-lattice eyes of the Spider (the suit is meant). I would like to say about good moral sayings, such as 'Great power carries with it a great responsibility' - goosebumps run already.

Action scenes are fantastic. I still remember the moment when the Spider turns and revolves around small pumpkins with propellers - just gorgeous. And as for the moment when in one eye of Spidey we see a falling MJ, and in the other - children in a tram - it is unique. The final battle also made me happy - the villain got what he deserved. There were some good jokes in the film - this is also a plus.

And now the only thing I didn't like. What nonsense is it to tell everyone that you are the friendly spider living next door, or the friendly neighbor Spider-Man. As if nothing smarter could be thought of. Of course, I understand that 60% are children, and it will work with them, but for adults it sounds at least ridiculous.

So I expressed my opinion about this film. I really like him.
