Great sequel. My favorite movie of the entire trilogy. "Temple of Doom", in my opinion, significantly surpassed the "Seekers of the Lost Ark". Much more spectacular, more dynamic, more exciting, darker and ... more implausible. Perhaps the most implausible of the entire trilogy. The second film completely avoided the "secondary", and Harrison Ford looks even more attractive as the fearless and tireless seeker of ancient relics Dr. Indiana Jones.

The film begins in Shanghai in 1935 (a year before the events of the first film). Furious action was not long in coming from the very first minutes of the film. A hot shootout and a fight in the Obi-Wan bar, running around with a diamond and an antidote, crazy and incredibly "funny" restaurant singer Willie Scott and Indiana Jones in a white tuxedo (well, what is not James Bond), with relish "stopping in" the face of a waitress ...

Further - cooler: a jump from a restaurant window, a "soft" landing, Shorty driving a car, flying in an unguided plane and landing with ... an inflatable boat! The beginning of the film simply delights, and the subsequent development of events is, in general, something!

Then the action is transferred to India, to the luxurious palace of the Maharaja. The dinner scene in the palace dining room is, in my opinion, the most chic in the film. Just what is the reaction of the singer to the 'delicacies' offered to her: a snake "surprise", giant beetles, soup with floating eyes and chilled monkey brains, and then an incredibly funny "love" scene in the bedroom between Indy and Willie.

After that, a real phantasmagoria begins: a mysterious cave with traps, skeletons and all kinds of crawling and flying creatures, bloody, ancient rituals with sacrifice, tearing out the heart and drinking blood, fights in the catacombs, the famous chase on trolleys, a suspension bridge and a river under it, teeming hungry crocodiles.

It takes your breath away from the frantic pace of events and there is no time to catch your breath. Of course, as befits a fairy tale, everything ends well: the noble Indy defeats the main villain, and with him the terrible cult, frees the children from slavery and returns their relic to the villagers.

A fairy tale, just a beautiful fairy tale, but how well done! Thoughtful plot, good actors, great humor, great scenery, good special effects and the legendary theme of John Williams.

There are even more "lyapov" in the second film than in the first. No plausibility of the narration even "does not smell" here, and the genre of the picture, in general, cannot be determined - whether it is a comedy, or an adventure thriller. Rather, an adventure comedy.

Nevertheless, the film has more than enough merits, because it is made dynamically, exciting, colorful, interesting, funny and incredibly spectacular. Legendary childhood film. Classic.
