One of the episodes of the then-popular Doctor Who series was turned into a separate film with Peter Cushing as the doctor, although he wasn't in the series.

Doctor Who invented a machine that allowed him to travel anywhere, even to other planets. And he went to another planet, accidentally, with his granddaughter, daughter and her fiancé. And the planet is in a post-nuclear apocalypse. And it's inhabited by two peoples. The Daleks, lizards who live in special moving radiation-clearing capsules and live in fortress cities, and the Talami, bluish-looking people who have learned to treat radiation with herbs and live in the forests.

The Daleks have taken Dr. Who and his family captive, for experiments. At the time, the Thals want to exchange medicine with the Daleks in exchange for food, but a trap is prepared for them.

The film is made for children, so you can close your eyes to a lot of things, as for example, that the heroes with difficulty recovered from radioactive contamination, immediately drink water from the stream in the same contaminated forest or that the Daleks have the agility of a nightstand on wheels and therefore are not afraid and even amusing. But nevertheless, in spite of all the naivety of the film, I watched it with pleasure. It's quite such a movie, in the evening for tea.
