Story Movie
Having settled in Green Hills, Sonic strives to prove that he has all the makings of a real hero. And the hero's test doesn't take long: the villainous Dr. Robotnik is plotting again. This time with his mysterious partner Knuckles. Together they search for a priceless emerald, which contains the powers that can destroy entire civilizations. Sonic teams up with foxy Tales to go on a round-the-world journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
Review 4K Movie
A year later. Sonic, enlisting the support of the local sheriff, tries to establish his stay on Earth. At the same time, Dr. Eggman, trying to escape from the mushroom planet, runs into an unexpected ally in the form of the echidna Knuckles. Taking advantage of the gullibility of the red needle-handed 'not' friend, the Doctor seeks to gain a new power, something he was not allowed to do last time.
The cast: as always about the hilarious, not kindly, but so funny Jim Carrey, who has become a classic Eggman in person with a mustache and a fox on his head. Taking advantage of the moment when his 'sort of' second partner tries to justify the honor of his fallen people (since he's the last of his tribe). But, the doctor did not doze off and in my opinion in this part his hero turned around for good measure, constructing all sorts of traps, coffee grinder or rather mushroom grinder and relying on his wit and cunning, again to get around the main characters. With Bruce Willis' recent announced illness, I learned in passing that Jim wants to end his career. This isn't the first time the actor has done this, so he added that until a script comes along that dares him to be interested, he won't be returning to the movies. Well, there you have it, a brilliant comeback and an unexpected ending. The latter can be guessed from the ending. We liked the voicing of Vladimir Zaitsev, whose voice throughout the movie, again and again hinted at Tony Stark. Despite the similarities in the image of the inventor, there were also similarities in the dialogues: 'If my calculations are correct, and they are ...' - said Tony, but there was something similar in Kerry's character. Listening to the voiceover, you can't help but say this one is adorable. I hope that if Zaitsev also agreed to voice Perfect Tony (if he shows up) in the 'cartoon universe of madness,' it will be the height of surprise for fans.
Cooler brains than fists.
James Marsden plays the same Sheriff Wachowski as always. It's nice that in this movie, his character taught Sonic not only responsibility for his actions, but was also promoted as a parent.
Much to the delight of many fans, Knuckles appeared in the film, whose voice was Idris Elba, who was preparing for the role by previously studying his character and his backstory. Also heavily in love was Miles Power, or for his own Tales, whose dancing (Russian cranberry again, well, are we like that?) and inventions will cheer up any viewer throughout the film. Unlike Sonic, he swims well, but as always, this tailgater can't fix the translator.
But, we want to pay special attention not only to Agent Stone (Lee Majdoub) - the eternal sycophant and admirer, moonlighting 'as if 'barista', all the while waiting for the doctor, but also on another hero. And that's Rachel. The same evil sister who hates Maddie's husband for past wrongs. We are shown her other side and at the same time, she plays her part good and bad before the end and we realize that Natasha Rotwell's character is not a bitch at all, but just a woman who wanted happiness. A lot of funny moments are also related to her.
Even the devil can't sleep when the bride is angry.
Everything else: As expected in the sequel, Jeff Fowler will be expanding the Sonic universe by stuffing in characters from other worlds. But, the filmmaker won't end his efforts there, as a third film and a solo series about Knuckles are expected in development. The potential for expansion of the characters is limitless. But, really, the film itself follows the same pattern as the last one, only much more catching up on missed moments/gaps, whatever you want to call them. The whole berry mix of flying Tales, strong Knuckles and other characters is reminiscent of 'Ralph vs. the Internet,' where the characters are a bunch but don't reveal their characters as they're all for background. Here, though, the characters are - surprisingly - almost all revealed. One thing I don't understand is, being such a zealous Sonic fan, did Tales really cross space miles just to cut into the hero's life? I think Tales was lonely, just like Knuckles. That's what made me want to find my own kind.
Impressions: Interesting story from 'fans for fans', with now not one funny Jim, but several heroes. There are both human and anthropomorphic beasts.
The scene after the credits: 'Squad on the Watchmen of the Nation' risks revealing the Doctor's top-secret project from fifty years ago. This hints at the appearance of a new character in the threequel.
