Story Movie

Gabby, a single mom with her eight-year-old son Travis, moves into a Louisiana mansion and discovers it's haunted. The woman tries to run away from the cursed house, but everyone who once crossed its threshold, are pursued by insidious ghosts and forced to return. In addition to Gabby and Travis, a motley crew of a priest, a scientist, a medium, and a professor who has devoted his life to the history of the house gather at the mansion to find out how to rid the property of otherworldly entities.

A remake of the original 2003 film Haunted Mansion is a family horror movie that tries to entertain, make you laugh, scare you a little, and intrigue the viewer at the same time. The plot of the movie is that a family moves into an old mansion that is haunted by evil spirits.

The movie has several scenes that make the viewer bored out of his mind, due to the numerous clichés and unconvincing moments. The funniest scene you have already seen in the trailer. The acting is not impressive, despite the names of famous actors. Lakit Stanfield plays for keeps, and the secondary cast does not save the movie from complete failure. The characters do not develop in any way, and the scripted moves do not work because of the banal lethargy of the characters. The special effects look cheap.

The movie does not leave a deep impression and rather disappoints. I would not recommend this creation to horror fans, Disney fans, or even the movie's target family audience. If one wants a haunted mansion, check out "Monster House." It's both scarier, more interesting, and funnier.
