BlacKkKlansman 4K American director and screenwriter Spike Lee is rightfully considered one of the main researchers on the topic of racial conflict in world cinema. In his work, he passionately defended the rights of the black population of America. He does it in a peculiar style, mixing dramatic and comedic elements. This theme brought the director great fame and success. However, such work divided the audience into two camps, some respond only positively, others are subjected to merciless criticism. After a long break and a series of empty pictures, Spike Lee returned to the world of big cinema with this tape.

The picture is based on an incredible, but true story. Before us is a comedic crime drama, based on the story of black policeman Ron Stalworth, he and his partner, a Jew, managed to infiltrate the ranks of the Ku Klux Klan. One was a voice on the phone, and the other played a role in face-to-face meetings. The script was written on the basis of his eponymous book, it adds elements of biopic to the film. In this film, the director again touched on an important problem for himself, but here he managed to create an amazing mix of a pathetic social manifesto, a black comedy and a crime thriller, drawing parallels between the historical context of the 1970s and modern realities.

Many viewers and film critics found the picture typical agitation, which directly accuses the white racists and puts them in a stupid way, but fully justifies the black radicals and their belligerent views. Such an advantage really exists, the director never hid his views and always put them in first place in the work. Especially deliberately it looks during the documentary inserts, which mercilessly criticize the current political circles. This is an obvious search and looks inappropriate.

The filmmakers managed to perfectly convey the atmosphere of the 1970s. All external attributes correspond to the realities of this historical period. It really contributes to the viewer immersive effect. Interesting and cultural references, which is filled with the film, as well as historical references. Paphos is definitely there and it is not always appropriate, but this does not interfere with viewing and does not spoil the impression.

The main role was played by John David Washington, who with his fancy hairdo nicely fit into the structure of the film. There is no need to observe dramatic talents, but the guy has charisma and in the frame he looks appropriate. Adam Driver is not inferior to the role of a Jewish partner, and in general the actor shows a noticeable growth and with each role is revealed from the new side. Their screen duo came out successful.

This is a political satire, and the real story of a unique police operation, and an adventurous comedy. This genre cocktail seemed to me very interesting and exciting.
