The diversity of human characters can be traced, among other things, in their physical realization, that is, in their actions and counteractions. No matter how infinitely lovable and close to us Dean's character is, with all his original, individual caprices and recklessness, it is worth looking deeper and seeing that the main acting force is a healthy worldly egoism. Egoism may be deeply Freudian, rooted in consciousness since the anal-urethral-oral period, rooted in the dislike of the father and jealousy of his brother, but egoism is cowardly and, yes, what else can be egoism. And polished to saintly character of the brother, and the inability to distinguish in the son's personality, does not justify the fact that to cope with his neuroses, he did not know how to, and did not want to and poisoned himself with constant meetings with his mother. And as it happens, nothing good was not brought by such an active force, and could not bring, read the primary sources. How close to us is his remorse, but remorse is remorse that comes after the deed, and before the deed there is a moment of thinking it over, which for Kol, should have come while accompanying his brother to the place where his mother lived, as usual, by a hare on the roof of the train (he left the money).
