1980-е. 18-year-old Maren and her father are constantly moving around. When the girl tries to bite off her new friend's finger and they have to go on the run again, the father's patience comes to an end. Maren goes in search of her mother, of whom she has no childhood memories, and soon meets a stranger like herself, who can't imagine life without eating human flesh.

The net was furiously forcing footage from this movie, combining images of violence with romance, and naturally I couldn't pass it up. Also, the story starts with one cute afro-girlfriend with a hobby not quite usual for her age. As if the girl likes to play 'bite-bite-bite', but only with lethal outcome for opponents. Such is not left without attention of her father, and he, as well as every self-respecting man takes education in his hands, and goes out for cigarettes. The summer of growing up begins for the heroine.

Cannibalism is the ultimate rejection of human morality. If you've crossed the threshold of this addiction, you've lost your humanity. A psychology fact, by the way. But, the director went a bit my way, and romanticize cannibals he got quite extravagant, and...cute as hell.

If you take away the puzzle of devouring your own kind from the story, you get a very mediocre road movie, where a girl Maren desperately searches for herself during puberty, and finds rebellion in the form of the same rebellious loneliness.

But let's add the cult of the flesh, or rather the eating of it. The author sends me a metaphor, - in the madness of teenagers and their addiction I saw the very rebellion of the young flesh, and everything shows that the world is inhabited by psychos, and a couple of lovers 'Eaters' are not alone on the vast expanses of the American wilderness.

By the way, here I will again give honor and praise to the director, for the spirit of the film about love, he normally imbued the spirit of suspense on blood and charisma. The antagonists are suddenly there. Some even in cameo format, which will be incomprehensible to most viewers. But the main thing in this movie is beauty. This is some spirit of the summer when you meet your first love, and think that the wind from the fields, the noise of cars, the sound of cicadas, and the smell of fried meat will stay with you forever, some prelude to happiness appeared to me through this movie. At least I got my portion of aesthetic pleasure from Bone and All. Vanilla cannibalism for the mass audience, well, there should be one of those too.
