Only the cry of his hidden consciousness prompts the viewer that the "Master" is still alive, and the Shadows enslaving the main character change shape, bizarrely reflected on the walls. As if in a drug frenzy, the image of a dryish Susan floats before my eyes, reading through the Servant's smirks; Faiths are tools in the hands of Hugo to achieve certain goals and Tony, somewhat similar to Oblomov, is a completely apathetic creature. The film by Joseph Losey is a social drama about the corruption of a person, drawn into a "swamp", from the first to the last minutes!
