Review 4K Movie

We meet the heroine of this cult film during the first existential crisis - at the "age of Jesus Christ" - at the age of 31. It's time to sum up the first results of life: by this time the girl should have a good profession, already be married and have children. Our heroine is not like that: overweight, problems with smoking and alcohol, strange work and on the personal front - a complete album.

However, her whole family is quite peculiar: an exalted mother (ENFJ - Mentor), who met her hobby in the form of TV presenter Julian (ISFP - Mediator, R? Her "auditor" - a real "whip boss"), and in her old age left her of the faithful (INTP - Critic, for him she herself was an "auditor"). But there are no miracles in typology - the standard of family (and gender in general) behavior, in this case - matriarchy, played a cruel joke with our mother: all her life, communicating with her husband (also the standard of “matriarchy”) “from top to bottom”, she could not come to terms with the dominant psychological behavior of Julian (as, incidentally, with his "too calculating" nature) - what is his phrase "Old cow!" And the hobby quickly passed, it took several months. The return of the "prodigal cow" was triumphant, which was to be expected - "love (including family) of evil" and "husband-boy, husband-servant" welcomed his other half with open arms. Raised in an atmosphere of continuous but fruitless disputes (CV - relationship) with her mother and seeing such a humiliated position of her father, our heroine discovered a kind of “protest patriarchy” in herself - now all that remains is to meet with a suitable candidate who is psychologically superior to her. And she was lucky, but more on that below.

The second most important characteristic of Bridget is associated with her circle of friends, among whom are absolutely all typologically subordinates: her best friend Jute (ISFJ - Guardian, for whom she is a "dream friend" Z?), Shaft's second friend (ENTJ - Entrepreneur, for whom she is generally " head-whip "R?) and their mutual friend (almost said, girlfriend) gay Tom (INFP - Lyric, PO - mutual interest). Such a complimentary environment allowed our heroine to feel extremely natural, to be herself. Thus, some internal uncertainty of this psychotype received a clear self-confident external expression.

Now about her men. Everything here is quite standard - she moves from “her team” to the “inner circle”, and her psychological sensitivity allows her not to make irreparable mistakes. Initially, in relation to her boss Daniel (ENFP - Adviser, with whom she has TO - identical, and later - competitive relations), relations with whom developed according to the scenario of "student love" (starting in the first and ending in the third year) - a common psychological mutual understanding between "soul mates" quickly enough leads to a decrease in mutual interest and after 3 months of passion problems begin. In our case, this is Daniel's extreme frivolity - he is a real erotomaniac, a pick-up star who does not miss a single skirt. In this respect, the apotheosis is the story of Mark Darcy, his friend, at whose wedding he was best man. Even a psychologically subordinate position (R? Subrevise) did not keep him from having an affair with his wife, a Japanese woman. Here the mechanism of “best friend” worked, when a girl is psychologically not indifferent to the closest friend of her partner, who is 80% included in her “inner circle”, especially if she belonged to the Japanese ethnopsychological standard: ISTP (Master - samurai, DU - “ ideal relationship ") + ISFJ (Keeper - peasant, P?" revise relations ") - everything else for our hero was a" matter of technique "of seduction, in which he is an undisputed master! And the "under-revision", subordinate relationship with Mark Darcy (INTJ-Analyst), resulted in that significant fight on the street, which the visitors of the surrounding pubs came to watch (do not separate!) - "such is the sports life" in England! In a relationship with Bridget, which began in a very standard way ("normal sex - nothing more"), in the end, even the trouble-free reception of a "little puppy" in need of protection did not work - she needs a male protector ("patriarchy") - she directly tells him about his unwillingness to psychologically “contain” him.

She found such a defender in the person of Michael Darcy, her neighbor, in front of whose house she ran naked at the age of 4. And let the viewer not buy into her phrase that 4 years is not a difference - at this age there is a real abyss between an 8-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, which really disappears over the years. But the psychological difference between them will never disappear! After all, he is for her a truly "fatal man", relations with whom it is impossible to break off. And although representatives of this psychotype (INTJ-Analyst) are not characterized by active behavior in personal relationships, in which they are most often slaves, in our case even the activity of his employee Natasha (ESTJ-Administrator, MI - "love-holiday", the most emotional relations outside of "my team"), could not overcome the influence of Bridget, who is in the very "inner circle" of our hero. This was facilitated by the dynamics of "psychological masks" (age typological standards of behavior in a social environment): Bridget (ESFP-mask Politics) in this case becomes the most attractive "femme fatale" for Mark (INFJ - Humanist mask), especially since she is pure instinctively applies typological manipulation, posing as a "lamb in need of protection and help", reproducing the Lyric's standard of behavior (INFP), which flawlessly affects Analysts who are powerless in the face of this "manipulation of weakness".

The entire soundtrack of the film is beautiful, including Bridget's unsuccessful attempt to perform Harry Nielsen's masterpiece 'Without You'.

Particularly noteworthy are Bridget's attempts to "start a new life" from next Monday. This is akin to the interest that popular psychological books arouse - it is interesting to read, but an attempt to start following their various recommendations ends on the second or third day. And this is correct, since the human psyche is too stable a structure and changes so dramatically only in the case of Münghausen's syndrome, so brilliantly shown in one of the series of "Dr. House" (do not forget that this is a sign of a serious mental illness!). So the film can be considered the initial stage in the emergence of the BODY-POSITIVE ideology in Western culture.

It is very interesting to watch the 2nd and 3rd films of the trilogy and follow the further vicissitudes of the life of our heroine, especially since the film adheres to the gold standard of Hollywood casting (matching the psychotype of the actor and the hero), at least in relation to Bridget herself (Rene Seerweger - ENFP) and Daniel (Hugh Grant - ENFP), and Colin Firth (INFJ-Humanist) as a good actor can play his first age (24-45) "mask" (INTJ-Analyst) quite well. In the meantime, one can only rejoice for Renee, who has returned (now and after "Chicago") to the forefront of Hollywood stars (Oscar-2019 for the role of Judy Garland), although Bridget will always remain her calling card.
