Sometimes there is a feeling that the director is trying to embrace the immensity in one film, to say much and as if about everything at once, but as a result does not say anything in depth.

However, what is the secret of 'Downton Abbey', it is up to everyone to figure it out for himself, because he achieves his goal: like a good cognac, 'Downton Abbey' evokes some elusive aftertaste and a pleasant, chamber-like mood.
