Story Movie

Having risen from the dead, clown maniac Art goes to the laundromat where he meets a girl who resembles him. Meanwhile, high school girl Sienna prepares for Halloween and makes a costume based on the sketch of her recently deceased father. Although she can't wait to go to the party with her friends, she begins to overcome with a sense of unease. And for good reason. Art, too, has prepared for the party, has fashioned himself a weapon, and is embarking on his favorite pastime: perverted murder.
Review 4K Movie
It all started with the short film 'Carrying Terror'... And grew into a series of films about one of the most terrifying homicidal maniacs of our time. And it wasn't the story that took root, but the central character, 'Art the Clown,' who secured a star on the Walk of Fame. And he is already, in fact, a cult image. But he might not have been if Damien Leone's main weapon hadn't come along - it was, in fact, the 'Art Clown' performer himself, David Howard Thornton. I don't know whose decision it was exactly to replace Mike Giannelli with the aforementioned actor, but it changed things dramatically. If Giannelli had starred in the first 'The Terrifying', I probably wouldn't be reviewing this sequel today. I have to hand it to the actor, he had a significant impact, he made a great contribution to the development of the universe of the wacky Italian.
If before Damien Leone made a thriller-slasher with a mystical origin of the main butcher, here he decided not to be petty and went to all kinds of trouble. Terrifying 2" does not reveal the origin of the monster in a black and white suit and with rotten teeth all over his smile, but only injects a frenzied dose of Ultron violence into the veins of the audience. As if the tagline was supposed to be 'He's back, and that's all it takes.
This time, Damien Leone is a little overheated, throwing bloody scraps left and right. Amidst all this oversaturation, the very essence of scares is lost, which should have kept the focus on the killer clown. The gag jokes in the carnage are unnecessarily drawn out in some episodes. Sure, if an unnecessary plot twist with the main character and her brother, it would have been much easier to stay toned down the whole time. But that's the thing, it's when Sienna, the main protagonist, appears that the narrative sags. It's certainly unfortunate that the actress doesn't evoke any empathy, having quite a solid amount of screen time at her disposal. Constantly yanking on the sexy brunette Tara Hayes from the prequel, you could have fallen off your chair. The poor girl was thrown right into the thick of things, she had no time for 'foreplay' and personal drama. And here, every scene with the main character is accompanied by some kind of strange indifference. She takes a shower here, imitates a waking nightmare there, hangs out at a club with friends or wanders into the 'house of horror' attraction somewhere else. Let's just say, far from the strongest link in this film.
It has just about everything that a true horror film can absorb. The director combines an Italian jallo and an American slasher, spicing it all up with an authentic soundtrack and an 80's style setting. All the actors get such a 'baptism of fire' from a non-dancing, but gesture-rich master pantomime clown, that after that any bloodbath will be knee-deep in it. Scalp cutting, brain cutting, cutting off heads and hands, the antagonist's favorite squeezing of eyes and different variations of squashing... At least he didn't paint poop on the walls. It's a real thrash cocktail.
It's not a bad sequel, but I was expecting a little different, to be honest. It's up to you to decide whether to watch it or not. But the second film was, surprisingly, even more specific than its predecessor. So, it's probably better to have some idea. Ardent fans of boddy horror and black humor, definitely can not pass by. Outside viewers are more up to discretion. The movie is just bursting with serious non-seriousness.
