The Last House on the Left 4K 2009 Ultra HD 2160p
A mom, dad and daughter go to a country house to spend a happy weekend. At first it seems surprising that the teenage daughter agrees to spend her free time in this way. But everything is very simple - not far from this house is a town where her best friend lives. The girls meet and get acquainted with a strange guy who has weed.

The company comes to the hotel and prepares to party maturely, but at the most inopportune moment there are fugitive criminals who begin to brutally mock the girls. Then they move to the very last house on the left, where they encounter the girl's parents. The unsuspecting parents give shelter to the criminals, but then events develop according to a cruel scenario.

Review 4K Movie

Back in the 70's, Wes Craven's movie "The Last House on the Left" made a lot of noise. Problems with the release of the movie, not taking it to the wide screen, violent scenes that scared away all the theaters. Mr. Craven cut his film a large number of times in order for his film to get the rating necessary for his film to be presented to the general public.

The young and then inexperienced director did not make a movie for all eyes, as the movie differed from the rest of the movies of the horror direction by its overabundance of explicit scenes of violence, brutality and sadism. No, he did not open the genre of horror, it was done after him in 1974 by Canadian directors who made the movie "Black Christmas". It was this movie about a maniac, ruthlessly killing innocent girls in a sorority house gave birth to movies about maniacs and killers. But what Craven created two years before The Canadians deserved far more attention I believe. People were really scared. They apparently had not seen such movies before, and if they had seen them, then not on the big screen, but at home watching movies on a tape recorder. But apparently it was limited screenings that prevented Craven's nightmare from reaching the status of the first horror....

Nowadays, the idea of remakes of once successful movies is particularly progressive. The question is, if a movie is successful, why remake it? Films that have eventually achieved the status of classics of the genre, watched in the same breath over the years, and nothing changes. Of course, that viewer who watched movies thirty years ago was less demanding and everything that was shown to him he ate and stayed satiated. The old film, the colors are mostly gray, the complete lack of effects that today's viewers certainly need. Perhaps this is the main reason to create an updated version of the movie. Most remakes of horror movies are not accepted by the public at all. Many are not satisfied with the cool effects that spoil the overall picture, someone additions that the directors bring in remakes, and someone disgusted by the play of the cast. In short, the modern viewer is not so easy to please.

The remake of the movie "The Last House on the Left" worked out, in my opinion, completely. Wes Craven boldly goes to the producers, entrusting the director's seat not known director Dennis Iliadis. Of course, very many things the creators of the movie lost in the original, but added new looks to the movie, which can hardly be called bad and unnecessary. The plot in principle remained the same, only some events the director changed, apparently so that the viewer was not very bored and monotonous shots of nature did not give sleep.

In the very beginning the director shows us the pranks of criminals, after which the viewer can immediately understand who are the main villains in the movie. And only then, somewhere in the seventh minute of the movie we see the family, around which the nightmarish events will take place. All the heroes are quite cute and fluffy, you can't say that you like any of them a lot, but it's hard to stay indifferent to them. The parents of the main character named Mary may seem quite young and not serious, but all this is up to a time.

When two pretty girls find themselves in the clutches of evil and cold-blooded criminals, the viewer will be given a full set of brutal beatings, humiliation and abuse. Yes, you won't see such things in ordinary action movies. I think no one will remain indifferent when two big men and ugly girl beat two children with what only you can and where only you can. In a word I would like to say that the level of cruelty of the remake in my opinion is not inferior to the cruelty of the original.

The director wrote in the remake car crash, and quite spectacular and tense. The chase scenes also look at a decent level and in some places even make you clench your

fists from excitement, as there are several moments in the movie when the unfortunate victims were at arm's length from rescue. A good move, because I don't think anyone likes quick kills done in a few seconds with no suggestion of resistance from the victim. Chases and escape attempts are one of the main ingredients of a quality and suspenseful horror movie.

As for the level of violence, I think it is above average. The long massacre of girls, extreme and bloody hunt for criminals is shown very qualitatively and most importantly interesting. We will be forced to worry, in some places even to get off the seat. Several times during the movie I wanted to get up and go to kill bastards with my own hands. The revenge of the main character's parents is shown very well. Several times during the movie you get the feeling that Mary's parents in the past liked to kill all sorts of scoundrels themselves.

The ending of the movie could have been brighter and more unexpected, but the ending that Dennis Iliadis showed us can please the viewer. It can be noted that the last minute was the most brutal and with notes of perverse improvisation. Some may consider this move thrashy, but in my opinion it is not so at all. Yes, this is how the director wanted to put a point in this chase, which in some places looks like a game of "cat and mouse".

Well and in the end I would like to say that the movie met my expectations and I think will justify the desires of many viewers. Of course, if you are always faithful to the originals and no remakes are not considered as worthy candidates, then perhaps the movie will not catch you.
