We saw the demonic Valak for the first time in James Wan's movie Spell 2. This creature pretended to be a nun and did very bad things in many different parts of our planet. And let Ed and Lorraine Warren Valak won, but he was so popular that the studio gave the go-ahead to produce a solo movie called "The Curse of the Nun," which collected at the box office more than 300 million dollars. And then came the sequel, which also turned out to be quite good.

The plot takes place in 1956, that is, 4 years after the sister Irene defeated the nun in a distant Romanian monastery. But as it turned out, Valak did not disappear anywhere, but conquered the body and mind of an ordinary guy Maurice, who is known as Frenchy. Now he wanders around Europe and leaves a long bloody trail. But the Vatican does not know how exactly the demon acts and what he really wants. And that's why Irene is involved in the investigation again.

The young sister did not want to return to this long-standing case, but she is essentially left with no choice. She goes on the road and tries to keep up with Valak and Frenchy. Meanwhile, the demon continues to do his terrible things, and he is close to doing what he has planned. And if he succeeds, then our world will not be happy.

This time the director of the movie is Michael Chavez, who previously directed "Spell 3" and "Curse of the Weeping Woman". The producers of the movie trusted him completely, and he did some work on the mistakes of the first part of "The Curse of the Nun". Now the story moves much faster, there are a lot of interesting moments in the plot and there is a real detective investigation that keeps all the attention on itself.

There are plenty of scary moments in the movie too, and they cause fear. Of course, the most scary scenes, in my opinion, were in the first half of the story, especially the initial nightmare in one of the French churches. Then the degree of tension starts to drop as you gradually get used to all the horror while watching.

"The Nun II" I consider to be a very successful movie from the "Spellbound" universe. In my opinion, the movie turned out to be much more interesting than the first part, even though there are still some problems in the story.
