Story Movie

The inventor of sinister games remains unpunished and eventually disappears without a trace along with his accomplice Amanda. While detectives try in vain to track him down, Dr. Lynn Denlon becomes the next victim of this maniac.

One night, Lynn is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse, where she meets the villain himself, who is on his deathbed. She is ordered to keep this madman alive until Jeff, another of his victims, finishes the “game” he started with him...

Review 4K Movie

Not every sequel can boast the same impact as the original film, let alone trilogies, most of which look frankly weak compared to the first two parts of a film series united by a single storyline. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule, and Saw III is one of them.

The second Saw film was a far cry from Saw, which is how we dubbed the first installment, which originally had one of the shortest titles in cinema history. It would seem that just three letters and a word as simple as ever, but how much the attitude towards it has changed since the release of these films. Saw... And already the imagination begins to paint the face of the ingenious inventor John Kramer.

And what about the third part? Some may ask: what could be expected of it after such a sequel? But the creators of the film very meticulously worked on their mistakes, thanks to which Saw once again shone with originality and a brilliance that is unique to it. And at times, its twists and turns shone so brightly that they even eclipsed the first film.

Fanatical representatives of a number of public organizations, for whom even the antics of Tom and Jerry from the series of the same name are torture for the fragile minds of particularly impressionable viewers, will unanimously insist that such films do not convey anything good, being just another form of propaganda for violence. Perhaps they are right in some ways, but at the same time, it cannot be denied that the film is imbued with its own special ideas, meaning, and philosophy, even if understanding it seems rather scary, and not everyone will want to understand it. What is the main point of the third part? How often do you think about concepts such as forgiveness, self-sacrifice, humanity, and the like? After watching Saw III, these words will not be forgotten anytime soon.

The idea, the meaning... All of this is important, of course, but it is only one component of success. And for that success to come, other elements must also be as close as possible to the ideal, the concept of which each person defines for themselves. You know, the trilogy has an indecent amount of positive qualities. An excellent main musical theme; skilful camerawork; crazy, but, let's admit it, incredibly interesting death mechanisms; a stunning script with the climax of everything happening in the final minutes of the film, which has already become a kind of trademark of Saw - and that's not all. But the most important thing is the acting.

Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith, well known from the first films, “keep up the good work” — fans of the series, and even ordinary viewers, are unlikely to be disappointed in their performance. But the one who made the biggest impression, which in itself was a pleasant surprise, was Angus Macfadyen, who plays the role of Jeff's lost son, who is ready to do anything for revenge. It's not often that you can truly enjoy professional acting in crime horror films, but thanks to Angus' performance, the picture of the trilogy gains that final piece of the puzzle that makes this film excellent. But this should not be taken as an admission of the inadequacy of the other actors against the backdrop of McFadyen. On the contrary, everyone looks simply magnificent, as far as this genre of cinema allows.

If Saw III does not deserve the highest rating, then at least it should be acknowledged that it came very, very close to it. An incredibly powerful film.
