Nancy comes from Texas to the Mexican coast to surf. The girl learned about the quiet beach from her recently deceased mother, so she wants to visit there herself, moving away from the hustle and bustle. But very quickly, the serene relaxation turned into a game of survival.

Bear Grylls in the form of a blonde (for me who is not a brunette, that blonde) will fight a shark. Something like this can be said about the "Shallows". Despite the irony, I liked the tape. With the recently viewed "Blue Abyss" it has only two "ingredients" in common: human stupidity and sharks. As for the rest, "The Shallow" ranks higher not only in the quality of filming, but also due to the plot.

The first thing that catches your eye is the most beautiful landscapes. I admit that many of them were filmed in the pavilion or made with the help of a computer, but the film did not lose from this. No less important and dynamism, even in moments of complete calm, literally and figuratively, it was not boring. There are practically no primitive monologues, which abound in dramas with lone heroes, which is already a huge plus.

Nancy was not discouraged, did not broadcast with pathos about the meaning of life, but used all the possibilities for salvation. Of course, some of the methods were more reminiscent of a mix from the program "Visiting a Fairy Tale" (if anyone remembers) and the action movie "Rambo", but they did not spoil the overall picture.

There was also fun. The second significant character, the shark, turned out to be truly demonic. The predator was given an attraction of unheard-of generosity, food was thrown in, but he is still aggressive and chases the lady. Although I don't understand much about shark eating habits. Another reason to smile is Nancy's lung volume. Wimps swim with scuba diving! Everything else is good.

Blake Lively does not shine with special acting talents, but she coped with the role normally. Plus, it's nice to look at her in a swimsuit. The supporting characters were also in place, bringing in some excitement.
