Review 4K Movie

George Romero must have seen many zombie movies in his youth. He liked it all and wanted to make his own movie about flesh eaters. He didn't hesitate to make his masterpiece. With a budget of $114,000, the film grossed $12,000,000 in the United States, and that's what let Romero know that everything was just beginning. What awaited George next was worldwide fame, recognition by all horror fans, both modern and old.

This film begins to touch from the first minutes just the presence of a black actor in the lead role, and in those not so distant past time is rarely taken for a black minor, and that the main - it was a shame and shame on the director. But Romero wouldn't be Romero if he didn't do what he always does. He didn't give a damn about order, canon and fashion. He did something that hadn't been done in cinema in a long time. He made a black and white film. No studio did not want to distribute the film, the picture only rushed around Columbia, but it did not suit many. And it's easy to understand them. Who in those days needed a black and white film with a black man in the lead role, and even with the tragic ending? But Romero didn't give up and the film was released. And I don't remember, I think it was Columbia Pictures and I don't think it was Columbia Pictures. But it doesn't matter.

First of all the film attracts by its unhurriedness, because modern zombie movies are all about running, fighting, heads off shoulders, body parts, foul language. In this movie, it was all in moderation, but when you see it, you enjoy the moment. There's not much to say about the acting. Everyone played great, but the one I enjoyed the most, of course, was Dwayne Jones, a theater actor and just a master of his craft.

You can endlessly sing the praises of this film, but I think I need to say one thing. George Romero made his debut and won over everyone. His name will never leave the history of cinema. Later he will make many more movies about the living dead and they will all be masterpieces in their own way, but they will never compare to this picture. Sincerely and from the bottom of my heart I wish good luck to the master of horrors George Romero, let him not grow old and continue to please us with his wonderful films.
