At the end of September 2003 there was a mass infection of people with cordyceps all over the planet. Previously parasitized only on insects, the fungus had adapted to survive in the human body, completely subjugating the host's will and changing its appearance. On the very first day, Joel, a construction worker who found himself in the epicenter of the pandemic, suffered an irreparable loss.

20 years later Joel lives in the Boston quarantine zone, which is under strict control of the Federal Agency for Disaster Management, and together with his girlfriend Tess tries to get a car battery to go in search of his brother in another state. Fate brings him together with a wounded rebel leader who promises a car and a battery if Joel and Tess will deliver the wayward 14-year-old orphan Ellie to a squad of battle buddies waiting for her outside the quarantine zone.

I am a huge fan of The Last of Us. Having watched the 1st episode it is difficult to say about the series as a whole, but I will still try to compile my opinion about this picture. To begin with, let's divide the composition into parts, namely:

4. Atmosphere

1) 'The Last Of Us' is already a game in itself, where the story is more important, the gameplay is a way to experience the characters. Considering the fact that Neil Druckmann (the game's creator) and Craig Maisin (the creator of the Chernobyl series) have joined in on the writing, it's a delightfully unique cocktail. The story in the series complements the game version, dare I say improves it. A lot of inaccuracies and understatements that were in the game, the series reveals and plugs the holes. Dialogues, of course, do not splash wit, but we will not let us get bored. The series is dynamic and bright. There are no complaints about the plot, from the word 'at all'. All the same, real talents, professionals of their work took up such a labor.

2) Image, picture quality, visual worthy. The way they conveyed to us the horror of the events, through the scenery, shabby costumes - great. The authors of the series make a lot of emphasis on the details. It is done appropriately and competently. Everything is in its place. The authors literally managed to transfer the game into the cinematography. They succeeded! There is nothing to say about the makeup, all the favorite Nutcrackers are made on hurrah, Hurray for the makeup artists!

3) Here is one praise. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay managed to carry and stronger, deeper reveal their characters (Joel and Ellie). The incredible chemistry between the characters is mesmerizing. Ellie's wit, Joel's psychologically unhealthy and cruel, it's difficult to convey their characters, but they did it. I think this is the strong point of the picture - colorful characters and well-chosen actors. As for the dissimilarity of Ellie and all that, the way actress Bella Ramsay is blasphemed - unworthy. She is excellent, professional, was able to show a witty, perky girl, with a deep past and an incredible view of the world. She is perfect in her role. She is priceless!

4) Atmosphere. Everything works. The plot, the details, the acting, the way the series is shot with her moving camera, literally from the first minutes immerses us in this dark and nightmarishly violent world of the post-apocalypse. Screamers are not so much, but the feeling of growing anxiety indelibly lays on the whole concept of the series. Everything is awesome. You'll get what you're looking for. Fear, excitement, anxiety, surprise and relief - you will get it all from watching the series.

The picture is amazing. The authors of this creation should be proud of their brainchild. Of course, this is my opinion and I do not encourage you to follow it. I accept any criticism, because the main thing in this Life is Understanding!
