Two childhood best friends decide to fulfill their lifelong dream of remaking the cult classic 1997 film Anaconda. But their low-budget shoot in the Amazon jungle quickly spirals out of control when a real giant snake turns the set into its hunting ground.

Anaconda (2025) is well aware of what it is—and that's half the battle. Jack Black and Paul Rudd have real comedic chemistry, which carries even the weaker scenes. The film wittily pokes fun at Hollywood's remake culture, without forgetting the snake action that started it all. The CGI is on point, the pace doesn't sag, and the cameos hit the mark.

This is not a masterpiece, nor was it intended to be, but this fun, self-deprecating horror comedy with a star-studded duo does its job well.

7/10 — Silly fun, done with intelligence.
