Amrit and his fellow soldier board the same train to propose to his beloved, whose powerful father has already engaged his daughter to another man and is taking the whole family to New Delhi for the wedding. Suddenly the train is robbed, and now the combatants with bare hands will have to confront numerous bandits armed with all sorts of slashing and cutting implements.

In the first 40 minutes of the timeline, 'Kill' presents itself to the viewer as a standard action movie with a focus on the love line and no surprises. It makes you relax, thinking that the further development of events is already so obvious, that the good guys will show the bad guys whose side the truth is on, and then merrily ride off into the sunset.

Everything changes when the title of the movie appears on the screen on the background of a bloody stain, which, by the way, very accurately reflects what begins next.

And what begins further, can be compared only with the movie 'The Raid'. Though by the level of staging and choreography 'Kill' still does not reach that level, it more than covers the abundance of cruelty. The main character from a nice and sympathetic young man turns into a real beast, and his brutality begins to ooze from the screen just like the blood of bandits who try to resist him.

The factor that favorably distinguishes our picture against other representatives of the genre is the level of disclosure of those very bandits. They are all members of one big family and are genuinely worried about each other, face the difference of opinions and approaches, and have their own motives and principles. They feel like real people, not goons. All of this makes the action even more exciting and poignant.

The movie is well shot, especially when you consider how limited the space is by the terms of the setting. The level of CGI at some points leaves a lot to be desired, but the focus on the stunning practical effects keeps it from being too much of an issue.

It's also worth noting that in addition to the blood and meat, the movie has heart in the form of the main character's line with his lover and his best friend. In addition, there is a socio-economic subtext that begs for comparison to 'Through the Snow' that permeates the movie from both the heroes and the gangsters.

What we end up with is an action movie so vibrant, creative and breathtaking that director John Wick has already announced the development of an English-language remake. It's not very clear why it's needed, but maybe this way the amazing original will get more attention, because it definitely deserves it.
