Big Nick is back on the hunt. This time his target is in Europe: Donny is now spinning in the treacherous and unpredictable world of thieves and jewelers, and is also connected with the famous Panther Mafia, with whom he is planning a grand robbery of the world's largest diamond exchange.

'Den of Thieves 2: Pantera'. The first part I, as a fan of strong criminal action movies, went to the hurrah, so the second was waiting impatiently, like Santa Claus waiting for New Year's Eve. And here's what I can say...

The movie, of course, came out. ambiguous. That's how it happens, as if all the ingredients are there, but the cake is not the same. The timing of the picture is solid, like a professor's lecture on higher mathematics, but, strangely enough, the impression is as if the movie was a little crumpled. The plot, compared to the first part, feels somehow... disjointed. The events are happening, but sometimes it feels like someone ripped pages out of the script and mixed them up.

Butler's character, for example. In the first part he and the main character, to put it mildly, did not drink tea, and here he suddenly becomes 'his guy'. And this is in a movie where everything is built on realism. Did the writers decide to play 'I don't believe it'? I don't know about you, but I found it a bit disconcerting.

The mafia in this movie is also acting kind of... weird. Some characters from the team is just cardboard, like they are, but why they are there is unclear, a lot of questions How, Why and Why, they do not close. But they paid more attention to the security of the diamond exchange.

Dynamics in some places is not enough, although it keeps in tension, especially towards the end. The actors worked to the best of their ability, there are no questions here. Butler, as always, carries the lion's share of charisma. There are no complaints to him. The main character is not bad either, but against Butler's background he fades a bit.

And the ending... Oh, that ending! It gave me contradictory feelings. I was disappointed and positive emotions, plus I wanted to continue the movie, but taking into account the fees I'm not sure that it will be, but it's a pity, I would have gone to the third part.

In the movie there are no fairy chases and explosions, as in some 'Transformers'. It's rather reminiscent of the movie 'The Killer' with Josh Brolin - just as measured, but tense.

The movie is definitely worth watching if you love the crime thriller genre. It will brighten up your evening, that's Butler.
