You know, this is not a cartoon, this is a movie.

It would be banal and corny if it was produced in Hollywood (yes, I’m making a comparison with him again) and played by human actors.

And so, in the form of an animated film, it is beautiful. For the first half of the film, the smile never leaves the face, thanks to a rather original approach in mixing styles, eras and a description of the life of the main character. Closer to the denouement, a sad mood creeps up, and some thought insinuatingly beats in my head: is it worth spending your life chasing the ghost of love? Apparently romantic natures find their purpose and happiness in this.

I would also like to say about the picture itself. She seemed beautiful to me, though there was a lack of landscapes, with such an exact drawing of details, the most beautiful, colorful, which I love. The difference in drawing styles was striking when different films / eras were shown.

And since in anime I really love such realistic stories, without magic and fiction, I liked the film. Now I want to watch the rest of Satoshi Kon's films. What will I do in the near future.
