It is no secret that it is not uncommon for an actor to be hit by a wave of popularity, which is not only intoxicating, but also devastating, on the wave of popularity of this or that franchise. In this regard, almost immediately after the end of the "contractual obligations" this same star tries as much as possible to disassociate himself from his past and establish himself as a serious and dramatic artist. More often than not, favoring risky and even crazy roles. Another crazy project in the actor's portfolio was this film directed by Eric Appel.

As you can see from the title and the content of this tape, the authors of the picture decided to tell a surprising and seemingly fantastic story of Alfred Yankovic, who is better known to the masses as "Weird Al". The authors of this film decided to kill two birds with one stone. On the one hand, as accurately as possible (if you believe the information on the Internet) to tell the story of the life and rise to fame of Al Yankovic. On the other hand, already in the second half of the screen time introduced a lot of selves into the story with a meeting with Pablo Escobar and the like. Which turned an already insane story into something even more insane and fantastic. Although it is against this backdrop and revealing the full personality of such an eccentric and ambiguous character as Yankovic.

The director of this film, Eric Appel, has directed one of the craziest (in a good way) biopics I've ever seen. From the very first shot, Appel sets up for something truly crazy, vivid, dynamic and unserious. Only intensifying the degree of it all with each new scene and thereby fully conveying the amazing ups and downs of Al Yankovitch's life. Including the superb delivery of all this in the scenes with Radcliffe's musical performances.

Daniel Radcliffe can definitely be called the major find of this film. Radcliffe stays true to himself and adds another eccentric image to his filmography, which he masterfully embodied on the screen on the level of natural emotions. Evan Rachel Wood is damn good as well, who in some scenes just perfectly got into the image of Madonna. We would like to mention equally worthy works of Rainn Wilson, Jack Black and other actors. It is impossible not to mention Al Yankovic himself, who "dropped in for a peek" in two episodes and with a minor role.
