Rocky is undoubtedly a classic of world cinema, one of the most dramatic films in the history of the big screen, with a tremendous inspirational power that inspires you to exploit and win.

I have long since stopped looking at the year of the film, I am deeply convinced that the films of the sixties and seventies are not inferior to modern trinkets promoted directors, and such a timeless and vital movie stories like 'Rocky' and even on his head superior to most films of the twenty-first century.

Rocky Balboa - this is such a collective image, in fact, it's all of us, because you all know at least one person whose gift gave him a great chance for a fruitful life, but cruel fate presented him a couple of twists and turns, and sometimes just crushed in him championship ambitions and he graciously put up with unfair circumstances.
Don't get me wrong, I'm speaking quite abstractly now, an artist, a journalist, a politician could have been in the athlete's shoes.

Sylvester Stallone is a great actor, I think his path in the movie was similar to the ascent of Rocky, that's why this brilliant play, Sylvester himself was in this skin, Sylvester is a fighter by nature. In this movie Stallone not only showed us his excellent physical shape, to say nothing of his boxing routines, which fascinate even mature boxing professionals, but also showed his talented and dramatic personality. His monologue to the dying coach is full of pain and despair, from the very first minute you start to believe in Stallone, in his acting, you start to believe in Rocky, in his victory. While Carl Weathers' hero Apollo Crete is fully immersed in promoting his own persona and signs one million dollar contract after another, Rocky exhausts himself with hellish workouts, which are as close to the image of 'regular man from the street,' this and morning jogs on the outskirts of provincial Philadelphia and practicing kicks on meat carcasses in the fridge.

The director John J. Evildsen, undoubtedly, has created a world masterpiece, he has introduced in the film a lot of new things, he has determined the cast flawlessly, everybody played brilliantly. In my opinion, he guessed very well with the key scenes, and also correctly decided that most of the film's time should be devoted to Rocky's work on himself, to confirm once again that to achieve something in life, you have to work very hard, improving and pushing your abilities to the limit. Rocky would have easily been able to sit on his couch, waiting for a fight with the champion and savoring his fame, because he is going to be a part of history at any cost. In the end, indomitable character and iron will lead Rocky to a personal victory over himself, he managed to prove to himself that he was 'not a sissy', he proved to the viewer that everyone can ... The main thing is to believe, the main thing is to work on yourself!
