Rocky Balboa is happy in his family life, and not even the perpetual mumbling of Paulie Pennino, Adriana's brother, can spoil Rocky's good mood. But a new tragedy does break into Balboa's life...

His friend and trainer Apollo Creed agrees to take part in an exhibition fight with the world amateur boxing champion Ivan Drago, a captain of the Soviet Army. The organizers of the match called it an exhibition fight, but Ivan Drago turned the boxing fight into a real fight: the Russian giant, like a sledgehammer, laid Creed in the ring with a fatal blow.

If I say that the movie is disgusting, then I will give Rocky 4 a huge compliment. It's just that there are no negative epithets in Russian that can be used to describe this movie.

Okay, out of emotion. I'll start in order. "Rocky 4" is the third attempt to resurrect a boxer, after the excellent first part. If "Rocky 2" and "Rocky 3" can somehow be digested (even with great difficulty), then "Rocky 4" is just a complete... (I'm not going to swear).

The plot is very simple. Rocky's best friend Apollo Creed really misses the ring. After much deliberation and conversation with Rocky, where Apollo pathosously called himself a warrior who missed the war, and Rocky languidly and sympathetically looked up, he decides to take the fight from a Russian boxer Ivan, with a very Russian surname, Drago. In the end, the Russian boar Drago beats the American squishy Creed to death. And then... You won't believe it! Rocky decides to take revenge... Well, the rest is clear.

I'm very sorry that the world cinema has such representatives as THIS. Very bad directing. I was just killed by the image of the wife, this, by the way, also applies to the third part. She has a few lines, and the rest of the time a close-up of her concentrated face. And this shot is duplicated six times in the movie! If Stallone lived at Lumiere's time I would understand this kind of directing, but it's 'Out of Africa', 'Sacrifice' in '85. Shame on you, Mr. Stallone.

The acting is on the same level. Stallone spent the whole 90 minutes looking like a pussy in front of the camera. Lundgren played well, given that he has two lines and throughout the movie a stone face, without a single facial expression (where did they dug the image of such a Russian?).

In short, I won't mark it, because the movie is beyond marks. The world cinema has never seen such crap.
