Review 4K Movie

Elizabeth Sparks is a once stunning actress who once deserved a star on the Walk of Fame. She works in a fitness show and still struggles to keep in shape. Her boss wants to see a young, attractive body in place of the new host of an 80's style aerobics program. Unexpectedly, Elizabeth is contacted by unknown people offering her a new version of herself if she tries a drug called Substance. Elizabeth changes beyond recognition. She starts a new life, but what is the price of happiness?

Actors: Demi Moore, as always, in full glory shows that external beauty is not only power, but also harm to herself. A woman who puts powder and blush on her face and then frantically wipes it all off looks very scary. The bodyhorror movie perfectly demonstrates that it's not just hairy monsters under the bed that can be frightening. Often the monsters are ourselves. Demi perfectly shows a woman who couldn't stand the words of Quaid's character in the restroom. Because of this, Elizabeth (Demi's character) realized that she is only accepted for who she is by a former classmate. And to her peers, she feels in competition with the youth.

Margaret Queally looks great. She epitomizes the best version of a person. That's what many young people are at the beginning of their journey. You have great opportunities and potential in front of you as long as you are in demand and in the spotlight. I believe that both heroines suffered from loneliness, because that is the main horror of this story. Horror isn't about aging or youth, it's about not losing yourself and staying needed by someone.

Who is truly the vile monster in this bodyhorror is Dennis Quaid's character. He's created such a repulsive character that you don't want to talk about him.

Everything Else: As for everything else, the Best Screenplay prize at the Cannes Film Festival was well deserved.

The movie demonstrates how the desire to stay young/young comes about through the prism of one person. The desire to be the center of attention among the young and to admonish through television is one thing (the prism of actors and actresses appears in this context). It is impossible to say to either the younger or the older generation, 'Accept yourselves for who you are. If you settle for what you have, you risk losing yourself. Outwardly and inwardly, we must remain ourselves.' Even if old age is approaching, it is not a misfortune, but an invaluable experience.

The movie demonstrates the sexuality of the heroines and shows the small and limited world in which they live. It would have been quite different if Elizabeth had taken up teaching something new and opened a show that would have gotten high ratings.

Coralie Farja, after a seven-year hiatus and a long writing hiatus, returns to the forefront with a fascinating story about how we experiment on ourselves in an attempt to regain our former greatness. And Coralie Farge's body horror acquits itself well. Her script is good. Special thanks for the aerobics class (borrowed from the 80s).

Impressions: the Frenchwoman Farja shows a woman who easily succumbs to the provocations of her former boss, who has become the main monster of the whole picture. Elizabeth should have appreciated what she had. After all, her acquaintance correctly said that she remained stunning even years later.
