Well, maybe not the best. Still, 2019 was rich in good cinema. But of what I saw, it’s definitely the best. It's about the film of 44-year-old New Zealand director Tyke Waititi "Jojo the Rabbit."

The plot of the film tells about the ten-year-old boy Jojo (played by Roman Griffin Davis, his debut role is bravo!), Who lives in Nazi Germany and, like all his surrounding children, is fanatic of Nazism and dreams of serving in the army. In the yard is the spring of 1945.

He also has a mother (the best role is Scarlett Johansson) and two friends - a fat boy Yorkie and an imaginary friend Adolf Hitler. And a Jewish girl lives in the wall of his house, who used to be friends with his deceased older sister (one of the first roles for Thomasine Mackenzie, pay attention to her, she is worthy of it).

Why do you love this movie? For a great acting, the work of a cameraman (by the way, he was nominated for an Oscar), absurd humor and a very sad story that will break your heart. Another of the pluses (or minuses, looking for someone) is the small timing of the film, 108 minutes.

About a great acting game - not an exaggeration. There are not so many characters in the film, but they all went all out. Johansson received her Oscar nomination, it is strange that Sam Rockwell was not nominated for the role of captain of Klenzendorf, who heads the children's training camp. Perhaps critics have decided that Rockwell’s game is too similar to his previous work. A very funny characteristic role in the actress and comedian Rebel Wilson.

The humor in the film is very different and very funny. You will laugh throughout the film, except when you sob. And it’s unlikely that you will be able to resist tears, because this is a story about the war and the Holocaust, even if it is not trying to scrupulously adhere to historical authenticity.

Who should not watch this movie? Yes, perhaps to neo-Nazis and anti-Semites, because they can not endure such a mockery of Hitler and Nazism. However, I would recommend this movie to them. Perhaps wiser at last.
