An elderly man arrives in the town of Harpers Ferry, from where six weeks ago his daughter set off with friends on a hike along the Appalachian Trail and has been missing ever since. Despite warnings from locals, the group veered off the tourist route and soon encountered a community of people who had settled there before the Civil War. And who really dislike strangers.

Yes, the previous films in this series were borderline trashy. They were sometimes overly violent, sometimes funny, sometimes overly sexualized. But these films had their own charm, their own atmosphere, their own understandable and beloved chic.

What this division was became clear not immediately. Modern Western filmmakers gradually fed feces into the open mouths of naive viewers. Ultimately, the film turned into the brightest manifesto of Marxist propaganda for socialism. Now, spoiled youth from civilization find themselves not in the territory of crazy hillbillies or cannibals uncorrupted by incest, but in a land of voluntarily self-alienated lovers of living in the forest in a proto-communist community where all races, all genders, everyone is equal. Yes, their customs are wild, but they don't have all that capitalist contagion. They are united with each other and with nature. And the bourgeois youth came and began to interfere with the measured life of these children of nature.

The funniest moment in the film for me was when the director apparently couldn't take it anymore and decided to put a literal political manifesto into the mouth of the tribe's leader.

I also found it very funny how even in this film, the vagina market ruled, and instead of punishment, the young woman suggested spreading her legs and giving birth to children, and it worked.

If you don't think too deeply about the film's message and hidden meanings, it's watchable. With some effort, but watchable.

However, those who wanted to see another installment of Wrong Turn, senseless and merciless, have nothing to do here. There will be no meat, no sex, no gore. It's a castrated film that can't even be called horror.
