In the not too distant future, where time travel has become possible, a certain corporation removes unwanted people, sending them to the past. The host's task is to kill the victim, thereby erasing the unfortunate person from history.

The plot is as follows: The scene is mainly the United States. The time of action is different periods of the future, mainly in 2044. The main character is the assassin Joe, who kills those whom the criminal clans of an even more distant future decided to finish off.

It happens like this - the criminals of the future catch their victims, tie them up, hook a reward for the mercenary and send them through a time machine into the past - where our hero with a "musket" will already be waiting for him.

This complexity is explained by the fact that getting rid of the body in the future is a rather difficult task. And therefore, it is easier to send it to the past, where it is much easier to do it.

The funny thing is that the mercenary himself will be killed in exactly the same way in 30 years. And most likely he will do it himself.

But our hero is not going to die just like that and will still fight for his life and for the lives of his loved ones.

The oddities of the film's background:

The film has many storylines: the confrontation between Joe from 2074 and Joe from 2044, the search for the 'Shaman', several love lines, showdowns with mafia clans, problems of children and parents, etc.

But the most interesting thing is that the film does not say anything at all about how the United States got down to such a low level?

We are shown: crowds of homeless people, criminal lawlessness, garbage on the streets piled up in heaps, murders have become the norm and are committed in broad daylight, mafia clans control US cities, lack of gasoline (many cars are equipped with solar panels), some kind of unkempt and dirty cities and etc.

In contrast to this chaos and chaos, we are shown China, where everything is fine: well-dressed people, ordinary cars without solar panels, beautiful and well-groomed cities, clean streets, etc.

It is also worth noting a detail - on the territory of the United States they use Chinese yuan (this can be seen in several scenes of the film).

Another oddity is the division of the country into counties, perhaps this is a jamb of translators.

Another oddity is the weapon. For some reason, almost all people in the United States use non-automatic weapons:

- single-action revolvers that have to be cocked every time (like in the 'Wild West').

- 'muskets'

- shotguns

and. etc.

A rare exception is the end of the movie where there will be a pair of FN P90 submachine guns.

Where is the automatic weapon and why no one uses it - maybe there is a ban on its use and storage?

From all this variety of details, we can conclude that the US economy and social sphere are destroyed. The federal government is either absent or has very little influence on the situation. They use foreign currency, which means that the dollar either fell in value - like African currencies, or is not used at all.

The United States is completely subordinate and controlled by other countries, most likely the PRC. That would explain a lot.

Whether there was a war or just a collapse of the economy is unknown, most likely the second is a slow and indomitable collapse.

But there are details in favor of the lost war:

- part of the population acquired a mutation - telekinesis.

- ban on automatic weapons;

- the absence of an army or its reduction to insignificant values, as in Germany after the First World War.

- the absence of the police or its subordination to mafia clans (I really did not understand).

- One of the mafia ringleaders in 2044 dresses in Chinese style and listens to Chinese music. Who do they obey, these mafia clans?

In short, the film is very confusing and with a huge amount of detail. Both the main plot and the background of the film are very interesting.
