Review 4K Movie

Police service is never easy. Only they catch and put behind bars one dangerous mafioso, as here in the city there are new bandits, not in word but in deed, threatening the safety of civilians. In addition, the old criminals do not mind taking revenge on those who decided to take away their freedom. But there is still hope for justice - as long as there is at least one policeman who acts decisively and does not want to wait for new human victims.

This is Jackie Chan's second time in the director's chair shooting the story of an incredibly brave and tenacious policeman. The first film was just a part, an introduction, which, thanks to some understatement of the plot allowed the story to develop further. By bringing back the former characters, Jackie creates a matchless sequel, making it no less exciting than the previous one.

"- Anybody would have snapped if they were him.
- He's not anyone! He's a police officer!"

The protagonist once again has to confront the criminal world, which disliked him greatly. By putting important mafia figures behind bars, Jackie has signed his own and his family's death sentence. Only he is unwilling to give up and, risking everything, confronts dangerous criminals. Once again, he is in no hurry to follow the orders of his superiors and does many things that the law completely disapproves of. But to his department, he has long since become a super police officer, capable of doing things alone that the SWAT team doesn't do. In this part, Jackie Chan continued to develop the character of his character, finally turning him from an optimist to a man who has been through a lot and has a lot to lose. The main character in this movie is not joking, he is in danger every step of the way, and there are a lot of innocent people's lives at stake. By the end of the movie, his character is quite unlike the almost carefree Jackie, who, three years ago, had instigated his friend to make a showy attack on a defenseless witness. In this installment, he's completely transformed into a serious policeman who deserves a promotion for his services.

Continuing the love line, the screenwriters devote more time to the main character's girlfriend, whose fate proves to be difficult. Charming and sweet May has been trying for years to come to terms with the fact that her cop boyfriend will always be out all day long catching criminals and paying her less and less attention (except in between fights). Events bring May to the forefront, for now Jackie will have to save her, too. The beautiful Maggie Chun played her character perfectly, showing the viewer sincere emotions, strong feelings.

Behind the serious events of the movie, there is still a little room for humor. It is supported only by Bill Wong, one of Jackie's bosses. This character plays no important role in the process of catching the criminals, but is an important link between the cops and the stern chief of their department. His attempts to defend himself to the others look very funny, and without his kindness and soft character Jackie would have long ago demonstrated his kung fu techniques and on the manager Raymond. Actors Bill Tun and Kwok-Hoon Lam once again perfectly embody their characters.

For the second time, the music composed by composer Peter Robinson is delightful. It is memorable from the first seconds and becomes an integral part of the film. All the most striking, dangerous, spectacular events take place just for these compositions that combine features of European and Asian music.

The movie is much more serious than the first part. Jackie paid more attention to the plot, the idea of the movie, revealed the characters. Having finished the previous one splendidly with a spectacular fight in a department store, he decided to add more spectacular scenes. The fights are much more complicated this time, and the presence of pyrotechnics provided impressive fireworks in the shot. Each fight scene looks very realistic, as if no stuntman was involved here. The main character's enemies fall with such force, smashing tables and windows, they're even engulfed in flames - surely Jackie wasn't the only one who got burned on set. But the way he once again brought things to an end, to finish the film, is admirable for this strong, strong-willed man who is willing to do anything for a great result.
