Story Movie

Vanilla Sky 4K 2001 Ultra HD 2160p
David had everything: money, his own publishing house, an expensive car and an apartment in a respectable New York neighborhood, a writer friend and Julianne's girlfriend, and even enemies in the form of the seven executives of his company. So he lived without looking back, until one day he was in a car accident and woke up after a coma as an invalid with a disfigured face, which now has to hide. His new life turned into a nightmarish dream from which you cannot wake up.

Review 4K Movie

Hollywood remakes of good films from other countries are quite common. The reinterpretation of original films and their adaptation for American culture is often very worthy. Plus, there's a much better chance that more people will see the American version, because that's how the movie industry works. American films are the most popular on the planet. However, sometimes it is quite difficult to surpass the original pictures and convey the energy of the film as it is in the original picture.

Alejandro Amenabar's Hollywood remake of the good film "Open Your Eyes" became one of the brightest representatives of the successful film, which, in my opinion, not only preserved the whole palette of colors of the original work, but also managed to multiply them competently, to emphasize exactly those places, which improved the perception of the whole story and made the world of "Vanilla Sky" even brighter. The work of director Cameron Crowe makes us follow the events with unprecedented tension.

The picture introduces us to the energetic, handsome David played by Tom Cruise. He is doing well enough in life, he is an heir to his parents' successful industry, he is popular with girls, he has a best friend. A chance encounter turns his life upside down when he meets modest and charming beauty Sophia, played by Penelope Cruz. Sound like the beginning of some romantic comedy? Take your time. This movie will literally send you into an unexpected adventure in a matter of minutes, where you will become immersed in the complex world of the main character and the people around him with each new scene.

The story is so extraordinary, that soon you catch yourself thinking that everything is not for nothing, and the intricate interlacing of human destinies and the collisions of the characters will make you try to understand till the very ending what all the same happened there, in the very beginning of the movie, that the events followed this very scenario.

The world that director Crowe has given us is literally filled with multifaceted references to cultural phenomena. Attentive viewers will begin to notice them by the middle of the film, perhaps even frowning, realizing that this or that frame, fact, music as if known to him. But don't worry, by the end of the picture everything will start to come together in a clear picture, which will make you smile a little, and probably sadly, when you put everything that has happened on the screen together. I dare not reveal any details, you will see for yourself. The brighter your experience will be.

"Vanilla Sky" has become a kind of quintessential visual and audio sequence that generates a kind of melancholy when watching it. The fantastic and at times unorthodox presentation of the material makes you literally fall into the oppressive world of David, the protagonist, who becomes more and more bogged down in his problems. This is understandable. When you have seemingly everything you want and then realize what true love is, you suddenly rethink your world. But when you lose it all, you really find yourself in a kind of prostration, because the world won't be the same anymore.

The feeling in the finale is hard to convey. Heaviness and sadness, a sense of hopelessness. The hero is faced with a choice, but as far as I'm concerned, either option is a loser in one way or another. Any of the endings are winnable in one way or another. It depends on who and how one feels about it. "Vanilla Sky" is a movie with a capital letter. Classy story, vivid world, great acting. The quality production, visuals and audio made this a very important event in the world of cinema. And I highly recommend seeing this film.
