To be honest, I honestly do not understand why people in the U.S. fell for this horror film and paid more than 48 million for a spectacle that does not really want to go to the theater.

Hollywood's low-budget creation about a group of young people who decided to play with the otherworld, was and low-budget and low-horror in one package.

It started as if torn from another film (there is no other way to call a minute-long conversation between the girls, desire of one of them to go to some event and reluctance of the other and then a sudden death). We got an impression that the director did not know where to start, he shot everything else and then decided not to bother and started the film with the scene that came to hand first.

Five young people decided to say goodbye to their friend who had untimely left this world, having secured a Ouija board and settled down in her house. The spiritualistic séance was a success - the girl came into contact, but after that strange things began to happen to each of the heroes. The mysterious "friend" leaving them messages turned out to be not at all the harmless blonde that her buddies so mourned, but an evil spirit hungry for blood...and flesh, preferably...

"Ouigi: The Devil's Board" was, for me, the apogee of injustice. I sincerely hoped that the protagonist, who dragged her friends to play with evil, would be punished accordingly, because she was responsible for, excuse me, the deaths of several people she so heartily missed. If anything, any evil must be punished, and it doesn't matter if it's hiding under a pretty face or hiding behind a Ouija board.

A trivial to the point of exhaustion story with an evil spirit attached to a specific body, a specific place and a specific person is more like a pathetic parody of the "Supernatural" series. Except that the adventures of the Winchester brothers look much more exciting and are filmed a head or two better than this sub-horror flick.
