Oddly enough, but recently this is the second horror, watching which causes not only fear, but also the desire to laugh. Only recently the audience literally burned out at the 'Visit', when suddenly - we were greeted by 'Krampus' - a new creation in the genre of Black humor & horror. Coincidence? I do not think. Who knows, maybe we are on the verge of something really new in the horror industry ...

The action of the film will be entirely devoted to the spirit of Christmas, and the idea of ​​adding a horror story about Santa's demonic double to all this turned out to be very successful. Immediately, I would like to note the very good play of the actors, especially the children. For many of them, this film is the first try in the acting craft, and, I must say, the kids did their best. Half of them you start to hate after the first 15 minutes, for the rest, on the contrary, you involuntarily feel sympathy. But in the end, it becomes a pity for both of them, before they naturally managed to play their roles and ... their fears.

And the fear here, oddly enough, is not based on the notorious sharp moments (which have long been fed up), but rather on the whipping up of a demonic atmosphere. Moreover, the mystery of Christmas plays into the hands here - all these tales by the fireplace, scary bedtime stories are capable of tickling the nerves of the viewer. But the main feature of the film is the local bestiary. The critters that will be shown in the Krampus, you have hardly seen before. It's just some kind of 100% concentrated evil. Honestly, the guy who came up with all these creatures is certainly a genius, but he clearly should go to a psychotherapist at his leisure. Well, if you take the local elves, then this is generally something with something ... In a word, the film performs its main task - to frighten the viewer - perfectly.

As for the production itself, as I have already noted, when watching, you constantly experience mixed emotions: a quivering feeling of fear every now and then gives way to funny moments, then they start to scare us again. And so on endlessly. A very interesting and fresh approach, you will definitely not be bored. In addition, the film also contains a certain moral component - after all, the filmmakers wanted to convey to us the idea of ​​why kindness, especially on the eve of the Christmas holiday, is so important in our life. After watching the film, one involuntarily wants to sin less somehow, write a letter to Santa, and in general, be a good boy. And then you never know who will come down to you from the fireplace at night ...
